The Way We Were singer will perform in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver this October, as part of a six-city tour.
Streisand has received 10 Grammys — including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement and Grammy Legend Awards — and released 51 gold albums, 30 platinum albums, and 13 multi-platinum albums.
Her 1973 hit The Way We Were was composed by the late Marvin Hamlisch. Her last album was What Matters Most, released in 2011.
Streisand’s public appearances are increasingly few and far between. She initially announced just two dates in her hometown of Brooklyn this fall.
On Tuesday, she announced she would do a small tour, with dates in Philadelphia and Chicago as well as Canada.
She will be performing with selling American instrumental artist Chris Botti and Il Volo, a trio of young Italian tenors.
The Canadian dates:
- Oct. 17, Bell Centre, Montreal.
- Oct. 20, Scotiabank Plaza, Ottawa.
- Oct. 23, Air Canada Centre, Toronto.
- Oct. 29, Rogers Arena, Vancouver.
Tickets go on sale later this month. The last time she appeared in Canada, she drew criticism for the high price of the tickets. No prices were announced for this tour.
