What's shocking is that the hard right supporters of what is called the Conservative Party but is actually Social Credit in drag see nothing wrong. It's just some leftist attempt to unseat a popularly elected government.

Untrue. This is an issue of democracy and the integrity of our institutions. The fact that it happened and the Government is working to keep it out of the courts while extremist elements call it paranoia is an affront to our democracy and an embarrassment to our nation.

Those who do not care about this issue are not patriots.

The issue is not who did it, the issue is that it happened at all. Looking for a culprit is a red herring and has been an obvious (and rather deliberate) waste of time. Elections in the affected ridings should be overturned and recalled, PERIOD.

That this was professionally organized and the digital trail deliberately obscured points to a lot of money and skill, not just one individual but a group effort. Be that as it may, anyone implicated will pull the same obfuscation and "blame the accuser" crap that's going on with the various denials and deflections in other areas of this affair.......all red herrings. The big stinking fish are the ones occupying the illegally acquired seats in the Commons......"oh we didn't do it, but we want to keep the seats anyway" just doesn't wash. In the real operation of our constitution how it's SUPPOSED to work, they have resigned and had the courage/honour to stand for office again, win or lose. But "honour"....unknown to a Conservative, even less than legitimacy is.

The most amazing and disturbing aspect to this increasingly amazing and disturbing affair is the reaction -- or rather the bizarre non-reaction -- of Mr. Harper to the deeper and wider implications of what is being slowly and grudgingly revealed to the public.

Jeez really? Harper Government controls the RCMP, CSIS, and many other entities who can help 'erase' Mr. Poutine's trail'. I never thought they'd catch him but I did think a guilty conscious would lead someone to turn him in.

I guess there is some 'honour among thieves' and by thieves I mean the Conservative Party of Canada and their Godfather, Stephen Harper.
