Halton Regional Police say a third man has been arrested in connection with an alleged home invasion that occurred in Oakville on the weekend.

Police previously reported that two masked men allegedly forced their way into a Speers Road apartment at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Police said three people were inside the apartment when the male suspects entered.

One of the suspects had a shotgun. The weapon was discharged during the incident, which left one of the people inside the apartment with minor injuries.

Police say the suspects who entered the apartment “fled the residence into an awaiting vehicle and took with them an assortment of property.”

Two men from Oakville were later arrested. They were due to appear in a Milton court on Monday.

A third suspect was arrested in Hamilton on Monday afternoon. No weapon was recovered during his arrest.

Police say they are still looking for a fourth suspect, who has not yet been identified.
