Charges laid in Richmond man's stabbing death

A 35-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder after a man was found dead in Richmond, B.C., on Tuesday.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was found dead in an apartment complex near the Lansdowne Centre shopping mall just after midnight.

Police said the victim appeared to have died of stabs wounds, but an autopsy scheduled for Wednesday would confirm the cause of death.

Pui Chun "Winnie" Poon, 35, believed to be the victim's wife, was arrested at the scene and later charged with second-degree murder.

She is scheduled to make her first appearance in court on Thursday.
