johnmolberg, Twitter

Two firefighters are injured after the roof of a burning home collapsed on them.

The fire broke out in the garage just before 5 p.m. MT on Bedford Drive N.E., near Beddington Boulevard, CBC reports. One man was inside the house but not injured.

"Fire from the garage spread to the home and crews in an effort to try and search the home to make absolutely sure no one else was there. The roof collapsed on two of our members, a captain and a senior firefighter," Battalion Chief Larry Fisher told 660 News.

This is a developing story.
