Police find drugs, loaded gun on another e-bike rider

For the second time this week, Toronto police say they have stopped a person who was driving an e-bike, carrying drugs and a loaded gun.

Police say they stopped a 25-year-old man driving an e-bike in the Dupont Street and Ossington Avenue area on Wednesday.

It is alleged that the man was found in possession of a loaded pistol and "a quantity of powder cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana."

A day later, police executed a search warrant at a home in the St. Clair Avenue West and Oakwood Avenue area and found ammunition and additional drugs.

The accused now faces 28 charges. He was due to appear in court on Thursday.

Earlier this week, police reported stopping a teenage boy on an e-bike.

He was also found with drugs and a loaded gun.

That arrest occurred in the Dundas Street West and Scarlett Road area on Monday afternoon.
