The lettuce was imported from the United States and sold across most of Canada from August 8th to the 17th.
The recall affects packages bearing the U-P-C 0 27918 20314 9.
No reports of illness have been linked to the product, however, food contaminated with E. coli can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illnesses.
Symptoms include severe abdominal pain and bloody diarrhoea.
Canadian distributors are voluntarily recalling the lettuce and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is monitoring the recall.Suggest a correction
