Police investigate LaSalle home invasion

Montreal police are searching for multiple suspects after a home invasion in LaSalle early Sunday Morning.

Police said four people wearing masks forced their way into an apartment on Jean Milot Street near des Oblats Street just after midnight.

At least one of them was carrying a gun, but police said no shots were fired.

Constable Anthony Cantelmi said a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were inside the apartment at the time.

"One suspect hit the man in the face and he sustained some injuries. A few minutes later the suspects fled on foot," he said.

Cantelmi said the two victims were transported to hospital and treated for shock.

He said investigators will examine the crime scene and meet with the victims throughout the day to try to get more information.
