Given its immense value, the Glenbow should shine brightly, maintained as one of Alberta's greatest treasures. Instead, the opposite is true. The place is in disarray, suffering from yet another round of layoffs made public last week. Staff morale is low, and has been for some time. The Glenbow has had deficits of more than $1 million for three consecutive years, prompting complaints of poor financial management. The archives, which were at one time open six days a week, will now be open only three days because of the cuts.
