Montreal cyclist in critical condition after crash

A 24-year-old cyclist is in critical condition after a collision with a car in Montreal's Plateau-Mont-Royal neighbourhood around 3:40 a.m. Saturday morning.

The man was riding east on Marie-Anne Street when he was hit by a car travelling on Laval Avenue.

Witnesses said speed may have been a factor. They also said the car hit a few other vehicles that were parked on the street.

Police continue to investigate. They fear for the cyclist's life.
