Advance polling stations will also be organized in long-term care facilities and certain private residences for the elderly.
Voters will also be able to vote on Aug. 28 and 29 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. and Aug. 30 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Voters must have a government-issued piece of identification. The following documents can be used at the voting offices:
- Health card
- Driver's licence
- Canadian passport
- Secure certificate of Indian status
- Canadian Forces identification
During the 2008 election, nearly 11 per cent of registered voters checked off their ballots before election day.
