I took a look at that Best Central Bankers and Worst Central Bankers list and it's clear that it's one of those celebrations of orthodoxy. The Worst list include such countries as Ecuador, Argentina and Belarus. Japan also, condemned for its unorthodox central bank policies despite the statistics that are far superior to that of say, Mexico, whose governor is listed on the Best list. For the Best and Worst lists there are statistics posted such as unemployment and "core inflation"; there's no guarantee that good stats put you on the good list and bad ones on the bad list. These stats of course do not take into account the development of the country, and so forth, but how can one say that Vietnam's situation puts its governor on the Worst list whilst Nigeria's puts it on the Best list. It looks like one of those corporate beauty contests.
