Jordan Eberle, Oilers agree to 6-year, $36M contract extension

Eight days after locking up their 2010 first round draft pick with a seven-year extension, the Edmonton Oilers signed their 2008 first rounder for another half-dozen seasons.

The Oilers announced on Thursday that they inked Jordan Eberle to a $36 million US extension, a deal that followed a seven-year, $42 million extension handed out to Taylor Hall on Aug. 22.

Eberle, 22, was Edmonton's leading point producer in 2011-12, potting 34 goals and 42 assists in 78 games.
