The Edmonton high school teacher who was suspended after giving students marks of zero for missed assignments is facing a termination hearing next month.

Lynden Dorval will meet with the superintendent of Edmonton Public Schools on Sept.10th.

The hearing allows Dorval to argue why he should keep his job after his principal at Ross Sheppard High School recommended termination of his contract.

Dorval is currently suspended for defying the school's no-zero marking policy, where uncompleted tests or assignments were to be marked with a comment, not a zero.

Edmonton public school trustees plan to review the district's grading practices this fall.
