Torex Gold Resources Inc. (TSX:TXG). Miner. Unchanged at $1.80 on 7,039,671 shares. The Toronto-based company's Morelos gold project is a step away from starting its commercial production as Torex's board of directors accepted the bankable feasibility study of the project. The project in Mexico will go ahead once financing is in place.

Yellow Media Inc. (TSX:YLO). Directory publisher. Up a penny, or 16.67 per cent, at seven cents on 6,526,280 shares. A group of lenders, who hold convertible debentures of the company, say it's voting against Yellow Media's plan to reduce its debt on Thursday, even after the directory publisher has sweetened its original offer.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down four cents, or 0.46 per cent, at $8.72 on 6,447,160 shares. The gold sector was the second biggest decliner on the main index, dropping 1.57 points or 0.50 per cent to 312.76 points.

Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up seven cents, or 0.42 per cent, at $16.93 on 5,471,270 shares.

Eldorado Gold Corp. (TSX:ELD). Miner. Up 28 cents, or 2.14 per cent, at $13.37 on 5,316,044 shares.

Westaim Corp. (TSX:WED). Insurance. Unchanged at 75 cents on 4,476,958 shares.

Shares of the company closed at its lowest level this year on news Aluminum Corporation of China Ltd. cancelled its offer for up to a 60 per cent stake in the coal miner formerly known as Ivanhoe Mines.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (TSX:VRX). Pharmaceutical. Up $7.47, or 14.80 per cent, at $57.94 on 1,292,209 shares. The Montreal-based company will buy dermatology products maker Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. for $2.6-billion, a move that will help strengthen Valeant's position in the skin treatments market.
