David Blunkett, a former minister in Tony Blair's governments, said he was told that he couldn't use his allocated seat at Wednesday's event because it was unsuitable for his guide dog, Cosby.
He was quoted Saturday as telling the Daily Mail newspaper that his experience "shows how far society still has to go to change attitudes towards the challenges faced by people with disabilities."
Blunkett, a serving legislator with the main opposition Labour Party, has been blind since birth.
The London organizing committee said it had spoken to Blunkett and was "looking into what happened with our venues team."Suggest a correction
