A 29-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in Vancouver on Friday night.

Officers were called to a residence in the 5500 block of Melbourne Street around 11:00 p.m. PT, where they discovered the unidentified man, who had suffered serious neck wounds.

Police are still trying to determine a motive for the stabbing but say they do not believe the attack was random. No arrests have been made.
