Two arrested in Saguenay beating death

Provincial police have arrested two men in their 20s in connection with the death of a young Montreal man over the weekend in Saguenay.

The 21-year-old man was found outside a bar in the Jonquière neighbourhood, late Saturday evening.

Police said they believe he was beaten with a metal bar.

People walking by noticed the man in a parking lot, near the exit of a bar, and called police. He died a few hours later in hospital.

Christine Coulombe, a spokesperson for the Quebec provincial police, said the two suspects were arrested on Montreal's South Shore.

They are expected to appear in a Chicoutimi courtroom Tuesday to face charges related to the incident.
