We couldn't be more excited that the Toronto International Film Festival unofficially kicks off tonight. The parties! The swag! The celeb-spotting!

As we ramp up to bring you of-the-moment coverage from TIFF 2012's red carpets (and exclusive parties), we thought we'd take a stroll down memory lane to relive some of our favourite looks from the festival's past -- be they good or bad.

Because TIFF, it turns out, seems to bring out the best and worst of A-lister fashion sense. Case in point is Rachel Weisz: the actress, who is normally sartorially savvy, seems to stumble when in Toronto (she makes our best and worst dressed lists). Then there are shots of Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page, two Hollywood hotties, wearing outfits that make us wonder whether they own a mirror.
