2 stabbings, possible shooting overnight

A truck driver reported to OPP that his truck had been shot at and he was hit in the hand near Mayfield Road and Highway 50, early Thursday morning.

The driver suffered minor injuries to one hand, though it's not clear if the injury was from a bullet or from broken glass.

The passenger side window showed damage that might have been from a bullet.

The intersection was closed while police investigated.

In Toronto's west end a man was stabbed multiple times in the lobby of an apartment building at 1286 Islington Avenue.

The stabbing happened at about 4 a.m.

The man was taken to St. Michael's hospital.

Police have not released any information on the suspect.

Late Wednesday night police were called to Morningside and Kingston Road where a man was reported stabbed.

The victim was taken to the hospital.

Police took another male into custody and recovered a knife.
