SURREY, B.C. - One crime at a time.

That's the lesson for two alleged criminals who cut off a pair of Surrey Transit Police in traffic last week.

The officers saw the vehicle pull into a parkade, ran the licence plate and found the insurance had been terminated.

When they approached the vehicle, the officers could see a quantity of drugs, cash and four cellphones in the car.

A subsequent search of the suspect's vehicle and another they had the key to, uncovered a 9-mm handgun and a loaded magazine, one other handgun and a replica gun.

Nineteen-year-old Austin Lopez of Surrey faces drugs and weapons charges, and 21-year-old Mathew Eakin of Burnaby faces trafficking and weapons charges.
