Canadian Designers Have A Chance of Winning $30,000 Worth Of Prizes

Ten Canadian designers have been selected to compete for $30,000 in prizes.

After the Art Of Fashion -- a not-for-profit organization that fosters the careers of young designers -- sifted through hundreds of applications, the finalists have been selected and will show their collections on Nuit Blanche, September 29, in Toronto.

There are two awards up for grabs, most promising designer and people’s choice, which will be presented at the Shops at Hazelton Lanes. All are welcome to join the judges -- Montreal designer Marie Saint Pierre, editorial director of Front Row Magazine Michelle Bilodeau and Franco Mirabelli -- as they assess the collection and hand out prizes according to talent.

The talented young accessory and clothing designers up for this year's awards are: Amy Yuen, Anouk Moran, Charlotte Ghesquiere and Andrea Kuntz, Devlyn van Loon, Jennie Uhlman, Mary Duldouras, Robyn Germanese, Ryan Joelson, Tess Barbieri and Tess Elizabeth.
