DEASE LAKE, B.C. - The body of a kayaker has been pulled from the Stikine River near Telegraph Creek in northern B.C.

RCMP in Dease Lake say rafters discovered the man's body on Tuesday while travelling down the Stikine Canyon.

Police say the man had been kayaking with friends earlier in the week and then went for a second run down the river alone.

Police say foul play isn't suspected and they've passed the investigation over to the BC Coroners Service.

The fast-flowing Stikine River through the canyon is a popular kayaking and rafting destination.
