When can Canadians get their hands on the iPhone 5, iPod Touch, and iPod Nano? Soon, Apple promises.

The thinner, taller and faster iPhone model, unveiled today, will be available for pre-order on Sept. 14, and it will begin shipping in Canada on Sept. 21. The suggested price? Brace yourself. The 16GB model will sell at roughly $699 (CAD), the 32GB model will go for $799 (CAD), and the 64GB model will set you back $899 (CAD).

That's for a phone — though you'll likely be able to buy it for less as part of a cellphone plan.

But look at all it can do! The new iPhone 5 boasts a speed-boosting A6 chip, the advanced mobile operating system iOS 6, upgraded cameras with the panorama feature, and an extended battery life.

The new iPod Touch, featuring a four-inch retina display, has slimmed down as well, measuring 6 mm thin and weighing 88 grams. It is reportedly seven times faster than the previous model, thanks to its A5 chip also found in the iPhone 4S.

As of Sept. 14, customers can pre-order the iPod Touch in black and slate, white and silver, blue, pink and yellow via the Apple Online Store. It will be made available in October. The 32GB model will sell at a suggested price of $299 (CAD), and the 64GB model will sell for $399 (CAD).

And come October, the iPod Nano will be available through Apple's online store, retailers and authorized resellers. The 16GB version will retail at at suggested price of $149 (CAD) in colours blue, green, pink, yellow, slate and silver.

The reinvented Nano -- the thinnest iPod ever -- has 30 hours of playback life.

A new version of iTunes will drop in October as a free download.
