At least eight women came forward to police to report assaults that occurred in the area over a two-week stretch in August.
In each case, women were approached from behind and sexually assaulted.
Police have said they are also aware of two other attacks that occurred in July, closer to College Street and Spadina Avenue, which may be related.
After police went public with the information about the assaults near Bloor and Christie streets, another woman reported an incident that had occurred in the early hours of Aug. 28.
Police said Thursday that a man approached a 25-year-old woman from behind when she was walking in the Bloor Street West and Crawford Street area.
The suspect continued to follow the woman until she screamed. He then ran from the area.
Police say the suspect is described as a stocky black male, with short black hair, who is believed to be about 5’8”. He was last seen wearing grey shorts with shiny material and white stripes down the sides and a T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Hundreds of area residents rallied near Christie Pits Park last week, to symbolically take back the area after the string of attacks.
