B.C. singer Diana Krall paid tribute to first man on the moon Neil Armstrong at his memorial service on Thursday.

"You have now shown once again the pathway to the stars. As you soar through the heavens beyond even where eagles dare to go, you can now finally put out your hand and touch the face of God," Cernan said during the memorial service held in Washington, D.C.'s National Cathedral.

Krall's performance was overwhelmingly praised on Twitter.

"Diana Krall sang Fly Me To The Moon at Neil Armstrong's funeral, and the soundbite is stunning. Man. Thank goodness for waterproof mascara," tweeted Lisa Trifone.

"Grab your Kleenex, Diana Krall is now singing Fly Me to the Moon at Neil Armstrong's memorial," added Nina Diamond.

Krall played the song a few weeks ago at an LA concert.

"He's probably thinking, 'Do I have to listen to that song again?,'" Krall said before performing the song at her Hollywood Bowl show at the end of August.
