Calgary Muslims gather to protest anti-Muslim film

More than 100 Calgary Muslims gathered at City Hall Saturday to protest against an anti-Muslim film produced in the United States.

But Mahdi Qasqas with the Muslim Council of Calgary says the protest was about more than this latest video.

“This is not the only hate-filled, hate-speech video that’s out there — there are many," Quaqas said. "Hate is not just a phenomena that’s related to Muslims. It’s related to all minorities all non-dominant population groups and we’re here to stop all of that.”

The film has sparked angry and sometimes violent demonstrations in more than 20 nations around the world.
