Police make 2nd arrest in shooting death of Toronto man

Toronto police have made a second arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last weekend.

Cory Campbell, 26, was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the hallway of an east-end building on the evening of Sept. 8.

Campbell was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A post-mortem examination determined that Campbell died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Just over a day after Campbell’s death, police announced the arrest of Andrew Burnett, 25, of Toronto, on a charge of first-degree murder.

Police say they have now arrested Jeramy Henry, 26, of Toronto, also on a charge of first-degree murder.

Henry was arrested in Ottawa on Saturday.

He is being brought back to Toronto for a court appearance on Sunday.
