Bachelorette Sandy from Wetaskiwin is the latest Albertan to join the cast of The Bachelor Canada.
Compared to some of the other ladies from across Canada revealed this week – there’s a strip club server from Manitoba and a grad student from B.C. – Sandy is positively the girl next door.
The latest Alberta addition to the inaugural Canadian edition of the popular reality TV show is a 29-year-old makeup artist who describes herself as bohemian, fashionably country, and trendy but classic.
And she seems to be heading in the right direction.. Her likes in a man?
“Athletic, muscular, big arms for me to hold onto,” she tells bachelorcanada.ca, which may explain her desire at a shot with Bachelor Canada’s Brad Smith, a CFL free agent and former Edmonton Eskimo wide receiver.
But a hunky demeanour may not be enough for Sandy, who hopes Smith is also, “open minded, patient, but an all-round friendly, easy going, charismatic guy that will look at me and speak sentences without speaking a word,” she said.
Alberta is holding nothing back as other bachelorettes from Wild Rose Country include a pastor from Sylvan Lake, a sweet girl from the oil patch and a Calgary administrative assistant who thinks she already has this whole competition in the bag.
The Bachelor Canada premieres on Citytv and OMNI Television on Oct. 3.
