Fan Yang's Bubble World Record Set In Vancouver

Posted: Updated:

A bubble so big that it enveloped 181 people at Vancouver's Science World set a new Guinness World Record Wednesday.

Fan Yang, an international bubble artist (yes there is such a thing) brought his family-run Gazillion Bubble Show to the science centre along with the excitement of record participants and guests. The Science World bubble measured 50-metres long and four-metres high, reported Global BC.

Freddie Hoff, an official Guinness representative, was on site to confirm the new world record for the most people inside a single soap bubble. Yang's previous record was 125, said Global.

The group -- 181 strong -- stood very very still and resisted their inner child to pop the giant bubble forming around them. The record-breaking bubble contraption took Fang six months to set up.

"It was a huge challenge, I'm very excited," said Fang to Metro News. Wednesday's bubble is Fang's 18th bubble-related world record.

"It always gets harder," Fang told The Georgia Straight. "You always have to do more."
