At least six women have reported assaults on, or near, the campus since the start of the school year.
Some 28,000 students attend Ryerson’s downtown campus, which is located near the intersection of Yonge and Dundas streets.
The meetings are being sponsored by the university's student union and will discuss the assaults, as well as safety issues.
"In light of the incidents that have occurred over the past couple of weeks, we believe it’s important for us to come together and unpack and strategize ways to take action against gender-based violence," the group's event page on Facebook read. "Join us for an emergency community meeting on the recent sexual assaults."
Toronto police Const. Tony Vella said that assaults should be reported.
"We have the authority to investigate, we have the authority to lay charges," Vella said Wednesday.
