Montreal police are asking the public for help finding three suspects involved in a stabbing in the early morning hours on Saturday.

Authorities have pulled images from surveillance cameras located near Sainte-Catherine West Street and Jeanne-Mance Street, where the attack took place.

Police are also seeking a possible witness, a taxi driver who may have driven the three suspects away at around 3:28 a.m after having allegedly committed the crime.

The cab driver was parked on the corner of Saint Urbain Street and René-Lévesque to drop off customers when the three suspects entered his car.

The victim's friend ran toward the suspected assailants, and police believe he tried to open the taxi door before it left the area.

The second witness police are looking for was in the bus shelter at the same intersection.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition with wounds to his abdomen. His condition has not changed since.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Info-Crime at 514-393-1133 or 911.
