22 Minutes Pokes Fun At Trudeau Leadership Bid (VIDEO)

WATCH: 22 Minutes Pokes Fun At Trudeau

When did Justin Trudeau decide to run for the Liberal leadership? That's the question 'Rex Murphy' and 22 Minutes answer in their latest bit on the Liberal Party's favourite son.

The Beatles, "The Lion King" — no pop culture reference is out of bounds when it comes to explaining the pop culture phenomenon that is Trudeaumania Part Deux.

The 22 Minutes take on the Trudeau hysteria will air Tuesday night just after the MP from Papineau shares some "big news" at a rally in Montreal. Big news, in case you've managed to stay away from the computer over the last week, is code for "I'm finally entering the Liberal leadership race to the surprise of absolutely nobody."

We predict the 22 Minutes cast is even more excited about the prospect of Trudeau the leader than the rest of Canada's media — if only because few figures have ever presented as many opportunities for mockery. Let the hilarity commence.

This Hour Has 22 Minutes airs on CBC TV Tuesday nights at 8:30 p.m. Catch more clips of the show on Facebook and Twitter.
