OTTAWA - The Conservative government will commit treason if it approves a $15.1-billion bid by China's CNOOC Ltd to buy Calgary-based Nexen Inc., NDP critic Pat Martin said on Tuesday.

Exxon mobile owns Syncrude Canada.
They are a foreign owned corporation.
Nexan produces 23,000 bpd in Alberta.
Syncrude averages around 350,000 bpd.
Not a peep about that sale though.
And it wasn't that long ago.
In fact 80% of all oilsands operations are foreign owned.
Look it up if you don't believe me.
Treason?
Mr Martin is talking out his butt-hole.
Lets see if he'll make similar comments when he steps out of the house.

treason eh , sort of like being one person removed from the corruption in quebec , or more to the point , having boosenkool installed to run point here in b.c. , he had to after the H.S.T. cambell lied about ,and got turfed, but lo and behold scambell winds up being posted to london and given the order of b.c.. Quebec may be corrupt , but the mob there could learn a thing or two from c.c. one of the most corrupt radio personalities ever to fraudulently punk the province. neither are leaders and will both be gone come there respective robo call campagins

Treason is a strong and loaded word but appropriate for this situation. I don't think Harper wants to say no give his recent cuddling with communist China and his ongoing feud with Obama who will be in charge south of the border for another four years.

Will Harper sell us out? I think so.
