SASKATOON - Saskatchewan's October land sale brought in $15.2 million to the province's coffers.

The government says the highlight of the sale of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights was the intense competition for Viking Sand lease parcels in west-central Saskatchewan.

To date, total land sale revenues for 2012 are resting at $94.2 million.

Last year at this time, the October land sale rang in at $13.1 million as compared to 2010 when the province raked in $34.5 million.

The next sale will be Dec. 3.
