House sprayed with bullets in Abbotsford, B.C.

Investigators in Abbotsford, B.C., are interviewing a person of interest after a house was sprayed with bullets early Sunday morning.

Const. Ian MacDonald said police received numerous calls from residents in the 2100 block of Meadows Street at about 3:35 a.m. PT.

"They heard a series of loud bangs that they thought were gunshots," he said.

"Upon further investigation, we located the residence in the 2100 block of Meadows Street. That residence had been struck repeatedly by gunshots, and at least one round went into a vehicle that was parked in the driveway."

Investigators found a person of interest nearby with the help of a dog squad.

MacDonald says no one was injured in the shooting and police are trying to figure out why the house was targeted.
