Oilers' Ben Eager charged after Toronto bar fight

Edmonton Oilers' left-winger Ben Eager has been charged with assault after a bar fight in a Toronto pub Saturday morning, Toronto police tell CBC News.

Police allege Ben Eager and his brother were involved in a disturbance at around 1:00 a.m. at the Quail Pub that sent one 26-year-old man to hospital.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries, including multiple cuts and bruises to his head, body and face.

Ben Eager is charged with assault causing bodily harm, threaten bodily harm and assault with a weapon.

Eager signed a three-year, $3.3 million US deal with the Oilers in 2011.
