Pilot, passengers walk away after plane lands in slough

A pilot and passengers walked away after a plane landed in a slough in Chilliwack, B.C., Saturday afternoon.

Pilot Jonathon Griffin says he was taking the plane down for a landing when a gust of wind blew him into the slough.

"A gust turned the wheel and fortunately the ditch was here," he said. "If it was the field, I would have just rolled it back on but there's a hole, so we fell into the hole. I was rolling, just waiting for the speed basically when the gust turned us sideways."

No one was injured.
