TORONTO - Evan Biddell brought a taste of the theatrics to both his runway presentation and his form-fitting feminine creations at Toronto's World MasterCard Fashion Week on Tuesday with a spring-summer line awash in a wide range of bold prints.

In his latest collection dubbed "aMUSE," the Saskatoon-born designer and Project Runway Canada winner served up both body-hugging numbers and more free-form creations distinguished by their playful patterns.

Colour-infused animal prints punctuated slinky cowl back dresses and breezy, loose-fitting numbers, while vibrant multi-coloured florals accented a sleeved gold-hued jacket and a draped strapless dress.

The most eye-catching patterns were the boldly graphic pop-art prints, notably on one hooded creation with a plunging neckline.

Amid the plentiful prints were slick leather looks including sleek jackets and fringed accents on a zip-front dress.

Stylewatchers likely did a double-take as the models continued to walk nearly the full length of the runway in a repetitive loop, with a new one joining the procession during each turn in an inventive take on the catwalk.

A headset-wearing, glove-sporting Biddell emerged at the conclusion playfully pretending to be oblivious to the audience by tapping into a handheld device, before smiling and acknowledging the applauding crowd of onlookers.
