Blainville pizzeria shooting injures 1

A man taken into custody after a shooting at a Blainville pizzeria Tuesday night has been released.

Police arrested the man a short distance from the scene not long after the shooting, but later said he doesn't appear to be connected to the incident.

Blainville police said a gunman walked into the restaurant on Curé-Labelle Boulevard just before 9:40 p.m. and opened fire.

One man was shot, but his injuries aren't considered life-threatening.

Investigators are still looking into the motive behind the shooting and are looking for a suspect.

They said the shooter had a small stature and was wearing dark clothing at the time.
