Police are investigating the shooting death of a man found slain in Scarborough Sunday afternoon.

The victim was found at a townhouse complex at 341 Military Trail, near Neilson and Ellesmere Roads. He was pronounced dead at the scene, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Two male suspects were reportedly seen fleeing eastbound from the scene around 1:13 p.m.

Investigators say they have identified the victim, but have not yet released his name to the public.

Police were called to the scene around 1 p.m. and have cordoned it off.

This is the city's 44th homicide of the year.
