The fires were reported within the Cloverdale area on Sunday between 3:30 and 5 a.m. PT.
"All three fires appear to have been intentionally set and in two cases Halloween decorations were the targeted source of ignition," RCMP said in a release Monday.
No injuries were reported, but there was extensive property damage to the front entranceways of the residences, the release said.
The first fire was reported at a townhome in the 6900 block of 188th Street.
A neighbour helped extinguish the fire and awoke the tenant.
The second fire was reported at about 4:30 a.m. in the 6600 block of 187A Street. Occupants in the home had smelled smoke and called the fire department.
Police were then called about 5 a.m. to attend a third residence in the 6400 block of 189th Street for a suspicious fire. The homeowner had smelled smoke and called the fire department.
Police are speaking with potential witnesses and checking video surveillance in the area. No suspects have been identified.
