Canadian Auto Workers union reaches tentative deal at GM supplier Lear Whitby

WHITBY, Ont. - The Canadian Auto Workers union says it has a tentative contract for workers at the Lear Whitby manufacturing plant.

Details of the deal reached late Monday weren't being released until members hold their ratification vote, expected on the weekend.

Lear makes seating for General Motors vehicles assembled in Oshawa, Ont.

About 400 workers represented by CAW Local 222 at Lear Whitby went on strike during the weekend.
