MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - The Toronto Argonauts will finish their regular-season schedule with usual starting quarterback Ricky Ray on the bench.

Argos head coach Scott Milanovich said Tuesday that Ray won't play in the club's regular-season finale Thursday against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Backup Jarious Jackson will start with youngsters Trevor Harris and Zach Collaros also expected to see time under centre.

Ray is healthy and could play if Toronto needed him.

Ray has thrown eight TD passes in leading Toronto (8-9) to two straight wins, including a 31-26 decision over Saskatchewan last weekend that cemented second place in the East Division standings for the Argos.

The game means plenty for Hamilton (6-11), which must win and have Edmonton lose its regular-season finale to Calgary to capture third in the East and secure a playoff berth for the fourth straight year.
