In total, 15 people pitched in to buy the ticket in Edson, which equals out to a windfall of more than $1.6 million each.
Keith Gould, one of the winners, says he’s been buying lotto tickets for years and is overwhelmed by the win.
“Always be a believer,” Gould said adding he plans to pay off his house, but has not decided what to do with the rest of the money.
Western Canada Lottery Corporation has not officially confirmed the winning ticket.
Another $25-million ticket was sold in British Columbia.
