REGINA - Former Regina mayor Pat Fiacco has a new job.

The Wall government has hired Fiacco to be the new CEO of Tourism Saskatchewan.

Fiacco stepped down last month after 12 years in the mayor's office.

Tourism Minister Tim McMillan says Fiacco has the right mix of experience and knowledge to lead the Crown corporation.

Tourism is a $1.7 billion industry in Saskatchewan.

Fiacco will earn a salary of $165,000 per year.
