Rihanna is promoting her new album Unapologetic in a way that won't require apologizing to fans -- the Barbados-born pop star is in the middle of her 777 Tour, in which she plays seven small (for her) venues in seven countries in seven days.

After kicking off her tour in Mexico last night, Rihanna's private jet -- filled with contest-winners and press, including HuffPost Entertainment's ownKia Makarechi -- touched down in Toronto earlier this morning.

After picking up her own luggage (!), the singer immediately broke the news of where her concert would be, tweeting: "Yo Toronto. I’ll be at The Danforth tonight. Will you? #777Tour #HTC #2ndStop #UNAPOLOGETIC."

The Danforth Music Hall is a 1400-seat former movie palace originally built way back in 1919. Though it's occasionally an underplay venue for acts like Arcade Fire or Feist, it usually hosts smaller indie acts alog the lines of Yeasayer or Corb Lund. So seeing an arena act like RhiRhi here is a pretty big deal.

We'll be at the show tonight to see what the fuss is all about. Here's hoping these small shows are Rihanna's way of showing off her pipes and showing up her AutoTuned pop rivals. If so, it'll one more thing she doesn't have to apologize for.
