DUNCAN, B.C. - Two men have been charged and two more could face charges after an undercover drug operation was busted on Vancouver Island.

Shawnigan Lake RCMP say 27-year-old Derek Rocco of Cobble Hill, B.C., and 23-year-old Troy Munn of Duncan have been ordered to return to court next Tuesday.

The men were charged earlier this month after an officer was sold cocaine during a sting in the Shawnigan Lake area, about 45 kilometres north of Victoria.

A small amount of cash and some cocaine were seized during the investigation.

Shawnigan Lake RCMP Sgt. Rob Webb says two other men from the South Cowichan area are also under investigation and their names will be released when charges are laid.

He says police are pleased with the results of the project because such investigations are complex and require significant resources from the local detachment and other specialized RCMP units across Vancouver Island.
