Neighbours concerned about horses northwest of Toronto

The Ontario SPCA says it will investigate reports that a group of nearly 30 horses are not being fed enough at a ranch in Wellington County.

CBC News has spoken with a number of people who are concerned about the health of the horses on the farm northwest of Toronto.

While some neighbours told CBC News that the horses are fed at least twice a day, others say the animals need more food.

Wendy McIsaac looks after the horses at the farm.

She told CBC News the owner has been struggling to find affordable hay to feed them.

The horses' owner could not immediately be reached by CBC News for comment.
