BIBLE HILL, N.S. - A new elementary school will be built in Bible Hill to replace two aging schools in the Nova Scotia village.

Premier Darrell Dexter announced the construction of the school today, saying it is expected to cost about $11 million.

Final costs will be determined once design work is complete.

The school would replace the Bible Hill East Court Road and Bible Hill Central elementary schools, both of which are more than 60 years old.

It would take in about 270 students from primary to Grade 4.

It is expected to open in 2014.
